The map disfavors Democrats, but "it's the economy, stupid" tends to rule all. If policy trajectories hold true, we're likely to see historic highs for food and fuel prices this year if not within a month. If Dems can actually get on message, there could be a strong chance.

It's a first midterm. Those almost always heavily favor the opposition party and I will be shocked if that pattern doesn't hold this time given Trump's historically low popularity for an incoming president, the nature of his coalition, and the divisive nature of his policies.

This likely ends up being a fairly favorable Dem environment- even in 24 the down ballot was almost perfectly split and really Dems only lost one senate seat they shouldn’t have in PA - so I don’t think Michigan is at risk and still think it more likely Dems net 1
