The only benefit would be if people hear how much it has changed his life and how much he regrets it and that deters someone else. Otherwise completely agree
You don’t understand my position here. This guy should never be back in a ballpark. Betts could have been injured. This guy doesn’t deserve sympathy and I don’t know why The Athletic thinks I care how his life has been since the incident
Sigh. Yeah. I don’t want to be right about this. It’s exhausting. The Times certainly have far more stuff to be covering right now. This is an all hands on deck scenario.
This story has been given a platform from the start which is the bigger issue IMO. Everyone covered it and tried praising the “hero” then at the end of their take would say “oh but he should be thrown out”.
