Why? As shown in the video on the linked page, it's the original Swedish actors re-performing their own lines in English, and faces digitally regenerated to make their lip movements match those dubs. It's *not* AI-generated dubbing and could be fine if it's done well.

That’s not what the article says. The video embedded in the article shows the original cast delivering their lines in English, why recreate that with AI? The GenAI part is recreating to faces so the lip movements match the new English language dialogue. (Watch subbed if you prefer, that’s fine.)

I realise that the original cast re-recorded their lines in English, I did watch the video, but that doesn't mean that the re-recorded audio was used directly without being put through the AI bullshit

Of course they digitally altered the original movie, they replaced the sound with the new original English version. They also changed the visual lip sync, and composited in English newspapers to replace Swedish ones. None of this is uncreative GenAI slop, it’s AI-assisted tools.
