The New Yorker and Wired come to mind.
The Atlantic and The New Republic as well.
Used to enjoy my Harper's and The Nation subscriptions.
Not sure whether Mother Jones and The Week are still available in print editions.🤔
Wish I knew more about American Prospect.

I love Harper's Magazine for so much, pieces of different lengths to chomp into for whatever time or interest I might have, insightful writing of course, a tilt against conventions of all kinds, and the odd randomness of Findings. Not really news of the moment but a wider view of a monthly mag.

Foreign Affairs - which specifically gets multiple authors to write on the same topic, with different opinions such that the reader has to follow the different hypotheses. In print.

I haven't read print news or magazines in a long time, except for the rare occasion of finding a physical newspaper in a waiting room. Tortoise news is really good for stuff that the rest of the media ignore.

Foreign Affairs is good. I also like The Economist which gets one a broader viewpoint of international news.

Harper's is good in a general interest magazine.

I have print subscriptions to The Smithsonian, The Atlantic, and Texas Monthly. TM is probably one of my favorites, but it's obviously TX-focused.

There are so many good print magazines out there. Taste is a very personal thing, but to me "Foreign Affairs" and "The Atlantic" remain high on the list.

I forgot to mention that I really like the poetry in the New Yorker and the short stories aren't bad either, but my husband mostly has his subscription for the puzzles in the New Yorker app!

Last time I was subbed to New Republic, I found it pretty informative and interesting even when someone made an argument I didn't agree with.

Wired also had some really good in-depth articles of a political nature (found the print better than the web side).

@nplusonemag.com is a decent one. I no longer sub since I left the US, but I've always found their work interesting. (My preferred Canadian mag is @thewalrus.ca.)

I enjoy listening to these long articles on ProPublica a lot. I donate to them. Just my flavor I guess. Enjoy! And the audio is nice. 😊
