- buy a monthly sub for £4.50 and immediately unsub. Quite pricy for one article, then again coffee & a pastry is £4.50 now, so...

This is a good point - Musk exists within a community that has been travelling together in the same direction, albeit at different speeds. There is ideology here, rather than merely cynicism or stupidity.

Sam is always good value. It’s my only substack paid sub, and it delivers incisive (albeit depressing) coverage. This sort of article can only exist because of his paywall. No one is paying journalists to spell technocratic issues out in such a raw way. Him and his dad do special work.
