Quick! Get him a job at DOGE.

Sorry for making you look at him but yet again, as with Peterson, Musk, Montgomerie and so many others, the turn to the hard/far right begins with obsessive transphobia. It might be the primary driver of rightwing radicalisation over the last decade. They always bring it up.

I thought you might like to know a bit about my new morning routine, which consists of avoiding looking at the news, then 30 minutes later taking a little peek, then spending about an hour in a state of burning rage as I read about the continuing exploits of literally the worst humans in the world

Starlink should be banned from European markets on national security grounds. Anything requiring Starlink should be shut out of the European market, and sanctions should be considered against all relevant actors. kyivindependent.com/us-threatens...

Young people are often left behind by transport policy decisions, with transport affordability creating barriers to accessing education, work, public services and socialising. Welcome to see the Welsh government recognise this and put in place this national £1 a trip & £3 day ticket bus fare trial.

Been in meetings. What's Trump done today? Oh.

Just a warning to people (probably not necessary for most) to keep your passwords for social media secure.

Sam Biddle has been entirely vindicated. Could have stamped Doge out like an ember.

Fascinated by people who argue “The government only met their increased appointment target by ending the doctors strike” as a gotcha. I mean, yes? That would be the primary purpose of ending a strike, to ensure those striking could in fact do their job instead of striking.

Thing is, if you describe everything as shocking* then nobody is going to believe you when something actually is shocking. *also applies for the words evil, insane, etc.

Team Coleridge celebrating Labour’s New Deal for Working People today. ✅ Putting more money in people’s pockets ✅ Guaranteeing parental leave from day one ✅ Ending exploitative zero-hours contracts

I have now made my account on X a private account and will shortly be deleting it.

The measles outbreak in Texas is reminding me of the public letter Roald Dahl wrote about losing his daughter to measles in 1962, just before the vaccine was publicly available.

Reminder that Brits would prefer Keir Starmer or Ed Davey as Prime Minister over Kemi Badenoch or Nigel Farage. YouGov

I should be working but I'm reading an article on how to stop procrastinating.

I have now been blocked by politically confused journalist Stephen Bush for the crime of offering him an opinion on what printer he should be using, offering to delete the posts and then pointing out that his response to me was puzzlingly aggressive. Meh. His loss.

Substack is the new linkedln, isn't it? Just tried to read what seemed to be a very vital article by @samfr.bsky.social and ended up not reading it because of the cost and the requirement to pay money but also ended up subscribed to several other blogs. No thanks.

Elon Musk was mocked after raging against "unelected bureaucrats" in an Oval Office rant oblivious to the fact that he was describing himself.

open.substack.com/pub/samf/p/t... Brilliant but terrifying piece by @samfr.bsky.social on the warped ideology driving Musk, Thiel, and the other tech bros. Among its inspirations #gamergate which too many tech journalists treated in a “good people on both sides” way ….

The media seem so determined to ignore the Ed Davey > Nigel Farage view of the public (As if all politics is in the 24% vs the 14% within the right)

This.
