Starlink should be banned from European markets on national security grounds.
Anything requiring Starlink should be shut out of the European market, and sanctions should be considered against all relevant actors.

What is Ofcom’s position?
He is refusing to cancel $100M Starlink contract he just signed with Nazi deadbeat dad Musk.
Corrupt Doug Ford also has an election in a few days, and he needs help with the fix.
I'm gonna cancel Starlink!...
Or, maybe not.
I'm gonna take the Gaza strip!
Or, maybe not.

Could the EU find a way to switch it on for Ukraine?

And I would extend this to media companies such as Facebook, etc, really these can be easily replaced with home grown versions within weeks.
Get Musk out of government. DO YOUR JOB.

This should be stopped and no future contracts given.

The military is a different beast though. We need a Starlink alternative for military and emergency purposes. However, that means that we do not need as many satellites and as high bandwidth.

Starlink is used by the Ukrainian army for satellite navigation for their drones.
Without it - what happens?
There would be no freedom in Europe. Probably already there but there could be a window of escape.

Would eventually get back up but at enormous costs and efforts.
Tomorrow? How about AWS? Azure? Google? Remember who were there to kiss the ring at the inauguration.
And instead of Ukraine, how about Germany? Italy? UK?
Start US tech dependency due diligence today. And divestment tomorrow.
Every tech is now a political weapon
Get the Hetzner cloud into your strategy at least.
I’m not so sure.
And regardless; the mere threat turns a tech into a political weapon.
Trump has already created a huge problem for all of those companies.
We’re dealing with a low probability / high impact scenario to which Europe was not prepared for.
And while finger pointing and assigning blame is fun, we really need to work on mitigation right now.
All of us.
And something EU must rally around. Protect our few strategic high grounds in tech, so to speak.
(Sorry, vital data).

That's because it's a commercially insane thing to do. SpaceX management must be freaking out.
But who appoints the judges?
The whole US system is in a free fall.
But it's extremely worrying, I'm not denying, and you're right that EU countries need counter-measures

If Denmark and other EU nations wish to set an alternative path in alliance with California, Oregon, and Washington State, we're ready 🇩🇰
So here we are:
a criminal regime in 🇷🇺 and now in the 🇺🇸 (the only country which declared NATO Art 5).
🇪🇺 has the strength & the means to create its own powerful army (reminder: the UK and France also have nuclear weapons).
We are all bearing witness and trying to understand changes around us, but its time to move beyond criticism.
If we want true sovereignty we will have to invest way more in R&D, no way around it.
yet it needs to happen.
Furthermore, the US has switched sides and shouldn't be treated as an ally anymore.
They have no friends, only future victims.
