I think it’d be really strange to have alongside the main cast, since Prime is officially the same versions of the characters (even though the show clearly was not made with consideration for game continuity), but I wouldn’t be against it

I liked the Prime voice cast, but Eggman felt the most off to me. I'd prefer the guy from the recent Death Battle if possible.

But definitely get the Rouge and Shadow from Prime

Read the article (haven’t heard much about this game) and it sounds disappointingly like the ‘live service lite’ way they did the Samba de Amigo game, and what the latest Crash Racing did. If Sega All Stars racers come back I’m interested, if it’s tv and movie Sonic characters I am not.

I think the Prime characters are going to be Nine, Thorn or Rusty Rose and Knuckles the Dread. One parallel version each of Tails, Amy and Knuckles. I don't think any of the Chaos Council left enough of an impression to be included.
