i can only see it as a man devastated that he can no longer hit his children
I was one of those kids and it does cause lifelong trauma. It’s assault plain and simple and (like my dad) can potentially lead to worse violence down the line.

There have been a lot of societal changes and other factors causing it in that time.
I’m 24 and see it as well but the world is different so there’s a lot of actions at play here
It'd be like if I keep doing something wrong at work and my boss doesn't explain why, they just hit me around the time I do it. I don't know exactly what I did wrong still!!
