“I Love King Charles,” Trump wrote in a post on his Truth Social platform, sharing an article from The Sun stating that Britain’s King Charles wants to offer the US an associate membership in the British Commonwealth.

Well, now...
The Commonwealth of Nations: he should check out the work it, and the monarch, does and the values it, and the monarch, promotes...
NB, Politico, not British per se. https://thecommonwealth.org/
ahem Politico please Fucking mention that the US right now does not meet the requirements...i.e free elections and independent judiciary https://thecommonwealth.org/about/joining
NO, no, no, no. On the other hand I am happy for Canada to absorb the US northern states and bring them into the Commonwealth and impose a Constitutional Monarchy instead of a Dictatorship of the Trump.
Clarifying that it's simply The Commonwealth and not The British Commonwealth. Any nation can join. Member nations have equal voting rights and select the Head of the Commonwealth. This is currently King Charles III but the post is not hereditary. The Commonwealth nations select the post holder.
Charles should offer trump an honorary knighthood, then stick him with the sword during the ceremony. Bug squashed, crisis' averted, lil bit of redemtion for the royal family.🤷♂️
The US does not remotely exhibit the core values of the Commonwealth
an applicant country should accept and comply with Commonwealth fundamental values, principles, and priorities as set out in the 1971 Declaration of Commonwealth Principles and contained in other subsequent Declarations
Key wording being "an applicant country should accept and comply". Looking at the Commonwealth countries, those core values seem even less respected as the EU ones.
