And you know why Poland is NATO’s biggest spender? Because they remember the Russian usurpation of Poland. They were sacrificed thanks to the Molotov Ribbentrop pact in 1939. The USSR and the NAZI’s divided Poland amongst themselves! They also remember the Russian occupation!Not again! Never again!

According to the BBC in 2024 If you go on GDP Poland is the biggest NATO defence spender with 4.1 GDP, Estonia 2nd at 3.4 GDP with the US 3rd at 3.4 GDP which is what the US has been spending for about the last decade.

I believe the NATA membership agreement for military expenditures was per capita. GDP. Would you expect a person whose gross income of $30,000 to pay $ 18,000 in Federal tax then say Warren Buffet pays the most tax? Yes, but that’s not a rational comparison.

Poland clearly is not going to allow history to repeat. Poland invaded without provocation by Hitler & Soviet Union in Sept 1939. Poles fought back valiantly. The Nazi occupation was beyond brutal. 6 million Poles died. Most were Jews. The Russians arrested, deported and massacred their neighbors

This is pretty sensationalist. They've prepared readiness pamphlets regarding having supplies on-hand for *multiple situations* that could arise where they might need them, not just war or whatever, and there's no indication of anything "dire" related to it at the moment.

In WWII, Polish pilots were some of deadliest against German air force!
Kept British Air Force alive, close to the wire.
British rewarded by giving them & their country over to Russia!

I doubt Poland will ever allow any other country to do that to them again!

Poland has seen much injustice in its history and damn Russia just won't leave them tf alone. I don't know who could ever blame them for spending the way they do on their military. Makes perfect sense.
