Not the case. We rearm because we can’t trust 🇺🇸 any longer - and because Putin and his autocratic allie’s is a threat to all democracies.
🇺🇸 government is surprisingly blind to the threat from 🇷🇺 and does its best to appease it.
If Trump thinks it's a win...
But not so much to support the US as an ally.
At best, to be able to defend themselves against an external threat, without US support or assistance.
At worst, to defend against the US as a threat.
The US needs to be isolated, ASAP. The adults need to have adult conversations about adult plans without Trump playing interference for Putin.
They could kick the US out of NATO given that it has, effectively, resigned from it by clearly declaring it will not honour its obligations to defend other NATO members
