This. www.nytimes.com/2025/02/21/o...

Something is shifting. They are still breaking things and stealing things. And they will keep trying to break and to steal. But the propaganda magic around the oligarchical coup is fading. (1/2)

This was published last October www.theatlantic.com/politics/arc...

If Kamala Harris had won last November, we would be talking about her First Time Homeowner Down-payment Assistance program she's trying to pass in Congress right now. Not ANY of the astonishing discussions we're having now.

Wow!

NYT did this during the campaign, too... People used to call it "sanewashing," & it never stopped. No matter how egregious & reckless the actions were, the headline always downplays the conduct. I canceled my subscription bc I don't expect them to change their "business" decision.

Some things to know about General Brown: - 41 years of military service - F16 fighter pilot and instructor with 3000 flight hours, 130 in combat - Master’s in aeronautical science - son of a U.S. Army colonel and Vietnam veteran - grandson of a WW2 veteran

Not very transparent www.nytimes.com/2025/02/21/u...

🫡🇺🇸 "Americans do not swear an oath to a king, a tyrant or a dictator. We swear an oath to the Constitution and the idea of America, for which we are willing to die," — Mark Milley ❗️He said that every US military member gives his life to protect the Constitution, not to individuals.

Astonishing.

All this makes me sad.

Enough with the friendly fire, the Republic is at stake. Divisions will ONLY help the Project 2025 to get away with it. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archiv...

Tailgating? 😁

President Trump has ousted Joint Chiefs Chairman CQ Brown and says he is replacing him with Air Force Lieutenant General Dan Caine. A retired four-star general expressed serious dismay over this move to me tonight, calling it "sadly political and tragic for our nation."

When taking actions late on a Friday night, a government sends a message its trying to pull one over on the public and the media, that it is hiding something or doing something it believes it should not do or will be seen as controversial. That is certainly true in this case.

To add a glaze of legality to an otherwise questionable Executive actions, KNOWING that it might run afoul with Federal Law. Just like he's been doing across the executive branch agencies with his weird interpretation of federal laws & interpretive EXPANSION of executive powers.

Are you better off than you were just a month ago?

Before Musk hijacked the govt systems, each Dept had their own internal system & a Senate confirmed appointee in charge of that system. Govt Systems were NOT centralized in a way that ANY ONE PERSON can have "God Mode" access to ALL of govt. Now they are & w/o Congress approval. Let that sink in.

FoxNews is "State media" & Donald Trump thinks he can be a dictator that can spend YOUR taxpayers money on HIS POLITICAL personal gain. Again, he keeps wanting to be president for a 3rd term, that is the context nobody should miss.

The DOJ doesn't have the right to pardon any crimes. If these merit a pardon ONLY, the President can pardon. Why isn't his lawyer arguing this instead of the DOJ? What does this do to the "plain view" principle? Are cops supposed to look the other way? How will that impact the rest of society?

after hearing from several of you last night, i think i have a general structure for this. it's subject to change based on feedback, but if you're a current, fired, or currently-being-litigated federal worker, i want to hear from you. here are the details.
