The Trump administration is trying to test a once-fringe legal theory which asserts that the president has unlimited power to control the actions of the four million people who make up the executive branch.

This is the sort of thing that makes me worried about the prospect of ever having a Democratic president again. The people behind this wouldn't have gone to these lengths to make the presidency all powerful without making sure it would always be held by a Republican.
Yeah, no thank you, we had a revolution to stop a person from having unlimited power over people in the U.S. No one is above the law. Just need congress and the courts to do their job as separate branches of government.
Here we go again, It will fall! This again is a push to reshape America into SOMETHING else! Once ALL POWER is granted to the executive coupled with the blanket immunity given to the president the no one could stop any of his decisions or actions on the world OR domestically. 🤔
I believe they are confusing it with Urinary Executive Theory. The theory that proposes a man who pees and poops himself on the regular ought not be running a country. Pack it in gramps.
Unitary executive authority is not democratic. it's authoritarian the Constitution was fearful of it by the Founding Fathers. It's why we have three co-equal branches of government that showed their fear of it. No Kings was the overriding message of their design. This idea ends checks and balances.
We don't have houses of Parliament in the US. We have an unreliable two-party system, and far, far too much money being poured into campaigns through unregulated campaign contributions. Our government is now fully bought and sold. And other than a very few Democrats, everyone is implicated.
