I am torn on the dismantling of the Education Dept. There are a lot of stand around administrators who do nothing but make sure school districts meet the requirements of the Dept. They do the minimum and manipulate data. And to what benefit to the students? It is a lot of wasted money.
Why don't you describe your experience. And dismantling the Department of Education sounds kind of like throwing the baby out with the bath water. Do You have any idea how many people's lives are going to be affected by this.
Of course I know how many peoples lives will be affected. That’s why I am torn on the issue. But should we keep the department that is dysfunctional or should we turn the programs and the budgeted dollars to the states instead? It is an option.
Every single Democratic lawmaker should be calling for Hegseth's immediate resignation right now. Not just some. Not just a few dozen. Every single one, starting at the top with Mr. Schumer and Mr. Jeffries. And the fact that it hasn't happened yet is nearly as shocking as Hegseth's conduct.
