I know it’s Friday
But tell me what you are doing to help combat #ClimateChange
What small or bigger thing?
The suggestion to grow native plants in whatever garden you have, is a good one
I’m a member of a climate action group- frustrating but useful

Life is good .
I like the roses but they required work and sprays and fertiliser and such now the natives don’t require anything except perhaps a little water now and then
I’d like our LGA to encourage more people to do this. No more mowing.
A woman near me had to remove the part of her garden that encroached on the verge
There was still enough to walk on
The messy bastard who lives nextdoor to her is allowed to park his tree cutting vehicles in the verge blocking passage& along the road too
I'm focussed more on enviro/ sustainability - doing little things like swapping back to soap bars, & making my own clothes from op shop purchases etc.
Solar & wind powered clothes drying (& heat pump when too wet). Actively support renewables.
Plus ACT is 100% renewable electricity.
Or buying our steel from abroad, from coal powered mills.
UK is just offshoring and increasing global emissions whilst claiming leadership
Have chickens and compost and bury waste
Have the usual sewerage of course. Ha
Car share when possible
Own water source- hand water
Growing a fruit orchard and natives
Recycle and give away what I don't need or want
Lobbying against WA mandatory subscription burning
Grand kids are aware, learning and teaching others
New house has enviro rate 6.5
No clothes dryer
Eat seasonally from own veg organic garden
Preserve food and share
Belong to community garden
Teach grannies gardening
All Xmas presents second hand in paper bags
Buy from the tip shop
Make compost like crazy
Fight for enviro change
Have native and honey bees.
Compost worm farm.
Compost worm restaurants in the gardens.
Compost heap.
Solar
Heat pump hot water
We have 1 car and 2 e-bikes
But we cannot stop
Use recycled garbage bags.
Drive as infrequently as I can.
Put recycle packaging in the recycle bin (although not sure that's actually getting recycled).
NEVER put medications in the rubbish (return to pharmacy!)
Wish the housing management would get rid of gas.
We recycle everything we can including clothes, I don't like fast fashion
Have standalone solar, roof water, EV. Have electrified everything and charge from solar.
I’m now in adaption mode. A 2 storey build with concrete floors that also offer fire protection
Installing house sprinklers and cleared zone around buildings.
This has been coming for 30 years. I’ve done all i can physically do to prepare and protect my family. I’m exhausted and devastated it has come to this.
