So, any allegations criminal? Can DOJ now arrest & indict? Because I’m wondering why DOJ was unable to obtain this evidence & move forward with arrest. Because his co-conspirator, who is currently sitting in prison for similar crimes, was not deemed to be a fully credible witness against Gaetz. I think someone got to him and said shut up and do your time or else you might have an “accident” in the prison courtyard.

Hi. I know there’s a lot of legitimate righteous indignation, but is it safe to say this wasn’t moved on by the DoJ because the witnesses weren’t especially reliable? Not saying he didn’t do this crap, but that getting him convicted would be a tough road?

Pretty much. Joel Greenberg was unusuable bc he framed someone on precisely these charges and pushed it hard to limit his jail time.

The testimony of the women has some weaknesses. And some Gaetz witnesses have gone to the mat on claims that discredit the Ethics report.

It’s remarkable that this report was allowed to see the light of day.
It not only hurts Gaetz, it reflects badly on Trump for choosing him to be AG. DT must have made clear he didn’t want it released but, the Rs did it anyway.
