I've just read the Lemkin Institute’s statement, and it’s filled with logical fallacies and extreme assumptions. Such rhetoric only pushes people away and doesn’t foster real dialogue. The only trans person I know has my old PlayStation – I wouldn't lend it to anyone I wanted to "genocide".

And I voted for them to my shame. Better than the tories I thought but I had my doubts. Doubts about them screwing the country around. I would never have guessed it was trans children that Starmer has screwed around. Yes Streeting implemented the blockers ban but Starmer could have stopped it.

Starmer made it pretty clear he was in the same camp as streeting. During the election campaign he made various transphobic statements such as stating that a woman is an adult female and voicing opposition to self ID. The reason he isn't stopping it is that he supports it.

Starmer is just as bad, he's just keeping as much plausible deniability as possible. We've known this since his very friendly interview with Mumsnet. This is why I told everyone who would listen, and others too, that him and Wes were very bad for LGBTQ+ people, especially trans people. For months.

Tories were tying (cynically) to position themselves as more socially 'progressive' to stay relevant and the labour right gave them the excuse they needed to go harder on the bigotry. Otherwise it would have gone through and become fully accepted policy much like gay marriage did.

Choosing between Labour and the Tories at the last election was like choosing between having to eat a shit sandwich and eating a raw turd. I chose the former, because at least I got some bread, but I still swallowed shit and I'm still going to throw up.
