My local Crown Court is Leicester. It is one of the most utilised I know. It regularly sits 7 or even 8 courts and yet now fixes trials where the defendant is on bail, a year away from the first hearing. Whilst that is sadly not unusual, it is a dreadful indictment of where we are now.
