I don't think any of this would've happened if Elon hadn't gotten his hands on the enormous propaganda machine that is Twitter and used it to amplify Nazi conspiracy theories. I don't think Trump would have won the election without that.

Also this is Trump's last run so he had to snatch the baton before the other guy leaves politics feet first

I think e-lon got exactly what he wanted. Even if the value of X plummeted, he was after something much bigger. The sale screwed us all.
