Gene Hackman was a lover of German Shepherds. He adopted two stray German Shepherds that wandered into a stadium in Baltimore where they were filming scenes for The Replacements in 1999. He named one of the dogs Gene and the other Keanu, after his co-star Keanu Reeves. RIP to a legend.

My daughter currently taking classes towards her Phlebotomy certification. Proud of her! Tomorrow, I am joining her in class because I volunteered as a pin cushion. Proud of me! (Phlebotomists are the good folks who draw your blood when your doc orders labs, or when you donate blood/plasma)
