Majestic Slioch rises in the distance, seen from the Scots Pine forests of Eilean Sùbhainn, the largest island on Loch Maree in the northwest highlands.

This is my favourite place in lowland Scotland - a real paradise of native forest and water… when the midges aren’t present!
