Possibly you missed the occupation of downtown Ottawa. They were hardly ultra-progressives. The convoy crowd, wrapped though they were in the flag were the far-right.

As a Canadian that attended school inthe 70s-80s, all we learned is that Indigenous peoples helped explorers, not about residential schools or abuse, until the late 90s. Wanting the full truth doesn't make us "ultra-progressive" or "like Trump."
