The funny thing about industrial zoning in Seattle is that it permits breweries, wineries, offices, hotels, restaurants, play spaces, professional sports franchise practice facilities, pickleball gyms, and you never hear anyone complain about “lost industrial land”.

Just confirmed: a group of 31 state legislators, including Seattle Democrats like Bob Hasegawa, Liz Berry, Noel Frame, Nicole Macri and Chipalo Street sent a letter to the Seattle City Council this week opposing Sara Nelson's bill allowing housing in the stadium transition overlay district.
