They wouldn’t test for something that only became relevant later though. There wasn’t much push for pregnant people to have COVID vaccines until about mid 2021 as far as I remember.

The study they’re talking about was information just from a birth certificate. Hospitals probably didn’t include vaccination status.

The data were adjusted to take account of various risk factors & compared to the number of babies born with Down Syndrome-a genetic condition

Those births did not change for the duration of the study, suggesting that the increase in fetal heart defects was not due to a disruption of health services

I hope there will be a follow up of this study post vaccination specifically regarding heart defects (but we already know from other smaller studies that vaxxed mothers provide protection to the baby they are carrying.)

This was going to be my question, how many of the mothers were vaccinated, and was there a correlation to the defect to the non vaccinated, also, what proportion of the mothers had a confirmed diagnosis of Covid.
