Agree 100%!!! Every year around Sept. 1st. I haven't had the flu in over 20 years and my colds don't get too severe either.

My husband and I both got the vaccine a couple months ago, and then he caught the flu the next day. I got it from him, you get the idea. Because the vaccine hadn't had enough time to do its thing, we suffered *badly* and developed bronchitis. First time using an inhaler in a decade. :/

I don't mean any disrespect, but I'm not sure anecdotal evidence is the way to go with this. Vaccines are scientifically *proven to be safe and effective*. That's the message. There'll be a few anecdotal, very real cases of terrible reactions, but basing one's opinion on that is not good science

Concur. I'm in my 50s. Got the vaccine. Flu knocked me on my butt for 2 days, but I was able to work most of the rest of the week.

My elderly mom (don't tell her I called her elderly) got the flu very badly even though she got the shot, but she still didn't end up in the hospital, which I'm very sure she would have done had she not gotten vaccinated. The flavor going around this year is no joke!
