It's more of an antelope than Pronghorn "Antelope"; at least it's in Bovidae. Pronghorns are their own family.

If you want a strict definition of antelope consisting only of Gazella, Nanger, Eudorcas, and Antilope, then wildebeest are excluded, but so are many others you'd think of as antelope.

Those are just four genera in subfamily Antelopinae, but there's 14 genera in that subfamily, and 8 just in tribe Antelopini. So you're excluding e.g Clarke's gazelle, springbok, gerenuk, Mongolian gazelle, Tibetian gazelle, Przewalski's gazelle, all dik-diks, royal antelope, saiga, beira, oribi,...

steenbok, cape grysbok, and sharpe's grysbok, just from that family alone.

Wildebeest (7 species) are in Alcelaphinae, same group as hartebeest (9 species) and blesbok, Hunter's antelope, topi (2 species), korrigum, tsessebe, and Bontebok.

And it's a close sister group to Hippotraginae, which includes such famous antelope as oryx (6 species incl. gemsbok) as well as roan antelope, sable antelope, giant sable antelope, and addax.
