This is great! I had a similar idea but couldn't execute and had to fall back on another. 😅

At first glance (without my glasses) it kinda reminded me of output from Harvard Lab’s SYMAP system in the 60’s! (Example from https://www.geographyrealm.com/how-advances-in-computer-mapping-shaped-the-early-days-of-gis/). Nice work, by the way!

But SYMAP had overprinting
