The Karen National Army leader Saw Chit Thu held a meeting to stop scam centres in its territory the face of a Thai backlash as they respond to the abduction of a Chinese actor. Given Saw Chit Thu's history of profiting from transnational crime, it is hard to see this as anything than a facade.
