People wanted a powerful switch were getting a powerful switch, I worked in tech and if you want more powerful hardware so you need parts that will make the cost higher
I would agree with you if it came out in 2019 or something, like it's almost been a decade, technology is cheaper.
Like this console is just an upgraded switch, there's nothing remarkable about it. It's for people that just wanted 4K and it's not worth the extra $150
Unlikely to happen now considering most of the reason that happened with the 3DS was because of Iwata.
He's dearly missed, this is the first console launch since his death.
I don’t even think the console itself is really overpriced for what’s in it (solid hardware for handheld, 120hrz HDR screen, etc.), but $80 for PS4-ish quality games is the real problem.
if only there wasn’t an orangutan in charge of one of the most powerful countries enforcing “very legal and very cool” tariffs on all his allies currently…

So yeah, Nintendo's made the PS5 of Nintendo consoles a decade after the Xbone of Nintendo consoles was being put down.
no one buys it bcs its too expensive so they cut down the prices and BAM everyone owns one

either nintendo makes their console children-christmas-gift affordable or they fail
Oh my god the line out the door at my local Walmart for that thing...
Tho I guess I'm seeing a return of visually and audibly harmful effects so maybe they live in a world without people.
60 was the sweet spot, I find myself waiting for sales way more often now.
