Peace y'all

Superb news. There are numerous modern-day Vavilovs stepping up. Dark times always bring out the best in people, too. www.theguardian.com/world/2024/n...

Maybe we should honor the women who were real astronauts. From left to right are Shannon W. Lucid, Margaret Rhea Seddon, Kathryn D. Sullivan, Judith A. Resnik, Anna L. Fisher, and Sally K. Ride. NASA selected all six women as their first female astronaut candidates in January 1978.

Gave up and just watched the Tig special. 2024, Hello Again, filmed at the magnificent Brooklyn Academy of music. It set me right again.

"People are already on buses. We can't do anything." Then go on the bus and take them the f*ck back off. Object permanence, ferchrissakes

Trying to distract myself, started watching To Catch a Killer on Netflix. Realized lead actress is Shaileane Woodley and all I can think of is Tig Notaro's "she leans 5'8" routine. I'll have to come back later. (this will make sense to maybe 3 people)

The more inconsequential an unanswered question is, the likelier it is to get stuck in my head and buzz around tediously. Which is why I just googled "Murkowski always blonde?"

No cheating. Your last saved celebrity pic is your therapist: I dunno, it might work.

Latest in my silly little series of digital security PSAs ... with guitar. Here's a little ditty about making your Venmo private

A very Texas thing is I thought eggs were on sale for $2 but they were cascarones

🤣🤣

Every day I wake up to a post that’s like “wow who would’ve thought?? Count Chocula, welcome to the resistance. Trix Rabbit go fuck yourself you nazi scum”

I swear to Christ, the biggest problem on this hellsite is the fact that so many people are convinced that they are the only competent person in the room.

To say a little more about this: Texas abortion advocates warned from jump that this bill was awful. It criminalizes private citizens and non-gov't nonprofits who fund abortion care and travel (though of course it'll also be used to go after city-level spending on repro initiatives).

ok i didn’t expect the federal government to test this by ending routine FDA food safety inspections
