I got taken to see that by my landlord who's also a family friend who love classical music I had a so-so appreciation of it. The scene of him bending over and giving the final note with his rectum was side splitting in a packed theater

Guy who played Mozart lives in my small town. He is the nicest, most down-to-earth and humble guy. I'm so happy to say that about the main character in one of my favorite movies.

saw it first run in the theater.

sat all the way through the closing credits because they played Mozart's Piano Concerto in D minor, K. 466, 2nd movement. no one in the theater moved until the last note sounded.

Nope. Just something created specifically for the DVD market. It was his cut, but he said he cut all of that for pacing, for a reason.
