My letterboxd watchlist is full of old movies. That i'm slowly working through. I hear someone mention something I've not seen I add it. Or I read in an article or book something I've not seen i add it. like 360 movies. lol My goal is to get it down to 250 ish this year.

I'm Gen X and there are still a lot of movies I'm trying to catch up with. I think about the stuff I saw in the theater as a kid that younger generations don't know about and it makes me sad.

When I was younger I went through a Kurosawa phase and discovered a bunch of his films. I highly recommend that to those who haven't seen them.

First time watch earlier this year because I'm generally not into musicals, and it instantly became one of my favorite classic films. One of the reasons is because it's so pertinent to these times. Also had never seen a young Christopher Plummer so that was a treat.

So there's something about the times we're in that has made me more open to musicals. Finally watched DREAMGIRLS & really enjoyed that too.

Thought I was mostly a DANCER IN THE DARK musical type (where the singing makes sense bc her fantasy) but now opening up to more.

What should I try next?
