One of THE BEST games ever made, and I’m not Souls master. This is SOULS LITE, and a mind blowingly good game that after 200hrs I still need to complete. I had to stop as I need to play other games. I’ll be back though 👀

My understanding is that Miyazaki has said a few things in interviews that can be interpreted as saying that he thinks Elden Ring's open-world structure held it back in some important ways. Wherever FromSoft goes from here, I suspect we won't see that kind of structure again.

Much as I enjoyed Elden Ring (and I've played a LOT of Elden Ring), I think the shift into an open world didn't serve it well and that the best parts of the game could have been presented equally well by a structure more like From's Soulsborne projects.

My son is 8 and he beat this game. I spent about 2 hours and 21 minutes (don’t ask me why I remember lol) and couldn’t beat the centaur dude but that wasn’t even something I had to do yet. lol.

I wondered if they might take more of a Jarburg route, with expansions on the game through updates. Though it wouldn't track with how they have done their past Souls titles.

Both the full game and the DLC were some of the greatest experiences in gaming I had this decade.
Should there ever be a sequel (or gaming equivalent) in the future there’s no need to rush it.
