Agreed, and that's the case with all creative arts these days. With today's technology, producing stuff is (generally) much easier than it's ever been. Marketing and selling just gets harder though, with all the increased competition.
This is one way I think Kindle helps. So many large times I’d be too intimidated to start if it was a physical book that having it on Kindle made me forget it was a 300 page book.
Funny enough, right before seeing this post by you, I saw blurb about one of your books from your Pell series on Goodreads. The Pell books sound hysterical and I will definitely be looking into these books!
OMG yes. After this morning's marketing zoom with my publisher's marketing director, my editor, and my agent I whined to my husband, "I just want to write books, dammit."
Given the trials and tribulations I've read about with normal self-publishing, I think I am glad I went with the serial format. Feedback for editing and motivation, a Patreon with a few people willing to pay for early chapters, and a connection to a small publisher.
I’ve stocked up on copies for my store for spooky season. As a bookseller, it’s my job to convince people to buy it! Bloom is a fantastic novel. What a fantastic treat for this time of year ❤️
