My partner, who went to school for animation and illustration, was talking about 101 Dalmatians, how beautiful it is, but how recent versions of it have been "cleaned up." We often talk about how making something "better" has come to mean making it look like a person didn't have a hand in making it.

I'm not really qualified to say what's better.
The whole "unplugged" craftsmanship is just different than something that is digitally manicured.
The big question is: how does it improve the storytelling?
It removes the soul, the personality, the emotion from the song.
I generally have a bias towards the natural-artist too.
That being said, I still enjoy some heavily overproduced music and animation. I wonder though about the ethics of art and at what point does it become fraudulent?
Digitizing into oblivion?
They don't deserve art.
vai em frente. com seu tom calmo.
Sometimes I'm annoyed when I detect the artist who exerts their affections deliberately. Sometimes I love it when it's like a wink at their audience.
