I’ve found that adding ‘magic the gathering’/‘mtg’ or some variation can sometimes draw up some mtg art. As a benefit, mtgs artists are usually very well credited so it’ll be easy to credit the artists if need be.
If you use uBlock Origin, there's a blocklist on GitHub that blocks a significant portion of AI generated stuff automatically (once you integrate it into your extension). It's getting updated regularly (so check it every once and awhile to see if there are new ones)
So Google Images is currently still just an image search which means you can still use negative key words to filter out AI images. No clue how much longer that'll last, but for now, adding things like "real", or "not generated by AI" should provide a sufficient filter.
I usually search by date, sometimes you'll get lucky and find an similar image and can search by that. Sometimes a generic search term coupled with a specific term can shore up slop.
Its infuriating. I'll just need a reference or whatever and even after adding -ai -midjourney etc etc I still get 50%-60% ai slop. Google is so garbage. It was bad before but now its next to unusable.
Alternative search engines sometimes have a toggle to filter Ai images. https://kagi.com does for example, It's paid though. I've tried the general search and am very happy, honestly 7 dollars a month is worth it to be rid of googles bullshit
Add specifics in quotes, use specific years, make use of negative tags like - “Ai” and such. That’s the best we’ve got to hold back the Abominable Intelligence.
What someone recommended to me was adding -"stable diffusion" -"ai" -"midjourney" to your searches, and that should exclude them. Specifying before 2021 before it became super wide spread might be an option too

And yes, this is not great and likely won't get better before it gets worse first.
Also if it's older content "before 2022 helps.
Some communities use "ia" to circumvent being weeded out of searches.
