On a more placid note, see how luxuriously the salvia is blooming (to the delectation of the bees).

We have tried red salvia and the deer eat it. Purple salvia not to their taste.

I love it in pizzoccherie, but also salvia is just great with anything potatoe, cold or warm.

Why are some violet?

Different flower. The red are salvia. The pink look like maybe rock rose - not sure from photo.

Do you also get hummingbirds?

We have to replace ours every year because they don't survive 😔 the winter.
