Every day not reading Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein by a crackling fire in an ominous château in the French countryside during a raging snowstorm is a day wasted.

Reading Dracula as a teenager nearly scared me into fits, so I don't think I'm up for Frankenstein even 55 years later. We have more snow coming in on Friday so I guess I'll continue reading my "snowed in while a murderer rampages" mysteries by the fire.
86 France currently has high winds, rain tapping on the windows and low rumbles that turn into growls

I respectfully disagree. Playing Frankenstein in an ominous chateau during a lightning storm is far better. And if you can't play Frankenstein, play one of the two kids from Weird Science. 😁
I’m sorry, darling, I’m wrapped in a blanket, sipping red wine by the fire on a raw winter’s evening in Vermont, while I read something by Carlos Ruiz Zafón. Otherwise I’d join you.
