How i think Sparks work: a rant by brae
A cybertronian is basically a computer with a soul inside a mech suit. So its fairly easy to separate most of who they are as a Person, it can be split into 4 sections: emotions, critical thinking/processing, memory, and coding

A bots emotions are stored in their Spark’s, a soul is the most ephemeral part of a bot as are emotions, additionally, a spark isnt so much consciousness as it is a part of Primus that literally gives life to their frames (and is electricity) and has a personality
a computers processor is where math is done, where equations and algorithms are run, this is quite literally thinking critically, easy
another easy one, uhhh memory is when you keep things in your brain like a hard drive
fr though my idea of Cybertronian memory storage is essentially an archivists wet dream of a tagging system for what emotions are connected to what memories and how they all link together
it gets tricky here because this is where the idea of artificial intelligence comes in, obviously the allegory here is for DNA but even in humans we dont know how much control nature v nuture has on personalities and thought process
