A phantom haunts the Cepheus constellation, its ghostly tendrils stretching across 2 light-years.
This cosmic specter is a dense cloud of gas and dust, lit faintly by starlight, 1,200 light-years away.

What about :
Captainโs Log, Stardate 53724.9. Weโve stumbled upon a spectral glow in the Cassiopeia sector....
* It's not in Cepheus but in Cassiopeia.
* The star is Navi.
These were also caught by the Astrometry bot.
I took this shot during my holiday in December, and I know perfectly well that I had pointed at Cassiopeia. I made the mistake while documenting the post
Thanks again
Everything here is shaped by the bright star HD 211682.
Blue comes from starlight reflecting off dust, while red is glowing hydrogen gas excited by its light.
Stellar winds and radiation sculpt the dust, forming these haunting tendrils.
Keep looking up, Kat.
