Yep that’s where one of mine lives, along with roasting pan…bottom drawer is full of other pans. Our kitchen is bloody teeny. Wife of a custom cabinet maker who builds dream kitchens 😂😂. One day!
It all started when the pan wanted an independent life from the kitchen equipment. It now rents its own apartment making it big in the frying industry.
The handle is plastic because I'm cheap and the cast iron stuff is still in storage from moving!!!! >:(
lol
I never store things in the oven in case I forget to check, even if it CAN be in there I'd be pissed if I had to move something that's super hot just to cook what I meant to put in there lmao
My mom always stored pans in the oven and I remember her pre-heating and ruining a skillet that had a plastic spatula in it. She was very unhappy about it.
They are not poor, you should watch the monologue from Spanish comedian saying that if in order to take a pan you have to remove another, you should not vote right parties, or if at a big dinner all your chairs at the table doesn't match, don't vote right
I assume this is only done in small kitchens with a lot of pots and pans? BTW, it’s nearly always included in TikToks about Mexican moms. My mom always did.
I have a built-in lazy Susan cabinet for my pots and pans next to the stovetop.
As a cast iron girlie who has friends and fam who uses nonstick with plastic handles- if you're not using cast iron, it's too risky.
I used to listen to the Clean With Me Podcast and she shared about when she set her oven on fire that way. Had to have the fire department come out and everything.

Brilliant.
I hope you're available to collect your Nobel Prize in person.
It saves my back from digging into a cabinet.
*Later tries to remove frying pan from oven*
*Burns self*
Rather have it in a cabinet than move it out and back into the oven every single time i want to use it
Like it's not like it takes up unbearable amounts of space
lol

Surely it should be with the other pans, sure it's different but it's still a pan at heart..
And I unfortunately don't own cast iron.
(My sisters and I automatically open the oven door when we turn it on. You never know)
But both would fit. The full size oven is used more for storage anyway.

I personally store them under the sink
15 minutes of preheating -😬 do you know what that does to a pan(s)
I am a fire hazard.
