Do you have a view, what will happen to ownership of 4000 acre Eastbourne Downland Estate under devo? Ebn Borough Council manages it, bought by Ebn Corporation in 1926, with local fundraise campaign.
Iconic landscape, currently being ecologically restored habitat mix.

They think they own it but Iβd be interested to know what the official Land Registry record says. It was purchased by Eastbourne Corp which no longer exists.
Plus there are restrictive Covenants on the land.
It's geeky - but it's a crucial barrier stopping us map land ownership in England
So itβs hugely welcome that Labour wants to open up the Land Registry for the first time in its 163-year history.
You can write to Minister Pennycook saying you strongly support these plans - and urge the Govt and Land Registry to act on them swiftly.

There are vast chunks of unregistered land due to it never being sold since compulsory registration came in. More likely to be large estates and the like.
(this issue was one that occurred to me).
