kinda of a shame on Moana 2. :/ Disney outsourced and exploited the studio that produced it, and no Lin Manuel-Miranda means whatever songs are there will be nowhere near as good as the first. Breaking records will once again reinforce Disney's bad business practices and mistreatment of artists :(

Movie going has become and continues to grow into more “event” like an atmosphere. They used to never have competition. These movies exemplify this. For cinephiles like myself it kinda sucks but the trade off is better entertainment at the finger tips.

They write that story every year. The reality is, put an “event” picture at the multiplexes, advertised well and timed right for the season, you’ll get a hit.

Just have to work harder than in the 1990’s. What job isn’t harder now than then? Too much whining.

we were in Michigan last weekend for soccer and stopped in two malls—they were packed, no vacant stores, and it was like the malls used to be when I was growing up.

All week malls and restaurants were packed even during business hours. People seem to be doing better than ever. How is it that there's such a delusional rift between how people are actually doing and how they perceive themselves as doing?
