There needs to be a map of what different OSR and adjacent systems are good for. I just learned OSR exists and this would be hugely helpful. I picked up Shadowdark because it looked like what I wanted but I'd love to get the "elevator pitch" for the other systems out there.

I'm prepping for my first shadowdark game & I've played a ton of OSE. I consider them interchangable. OSE is 100% classic BX, shadowdark is 5e dice mechanic conventions grafted onto BX

Cairn is even lighter rules, and the assumed tone is more fairytale than the "mud & blood" of classic DND. It feels more touched by the influence of storygame while still d20

Mork Borg is for when you want to play "grimdark so death metal it circles back to a lil silly, like the Evil Dead movies"

Not as many as you might think... I don't have Shadowdark (because it's hard to get in the UK), and I sold my Mork Borg, although I still have the PDF. Other worthy mentions are Beyond the Wall, Swords & Wizardry, Wulfwald, Outcast Silver Raiders, Sharp Swords & Sinister Blades.
