I finally quit Netflix a few months ago, and I don't miss a thing about it. I would just scroll through hundreds of offerings just like this before giving up. Sad that a service that used to deliver a catalog of basically every movie ever is now this. Enshitification is real.

Netflix still makes/underwrites/platforms great original films (Rebel Ridge, Athena) and incredible TV shows (Adolescence, Asura), and I mention in the piece they’re not the only offenders, but yes — the Enshitification Struggle Is Real.

'Rebel Ridge' was excellent, and some of the animated offerings (Castlevania, Terminator: Zero) are stellar, as well. That's far from adequate enough to justify the ever increasing monthly fee. The fact that they could've made 10 'Rebel Ridge's for what this slop cost is a hate crime.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

But the "throw crap to the wall to see what sticks" content model is why we have loads of garbage... And the sad thing is Sarandos knows this and doesn't care (as evidenced by a recent cameo on, incidentally, a better platform).
