The metal horse head on the lower right shelf was something I really wanted from my grandma's house, but it went to auction and sold for more than I was willing to pay. It lives forever in my memories and in my book!

My grandma's house was another huge inspiration for this page. She was an amazing person and her house was full of beautiful and interesting things. You can find some of the objects in these pictures in the book.

I was heavily inspired by Richard Scarry's paintings of objects. As a kid I poured over his books and spent hours looking at all the cool stuff on each page.
