at the record store i worked at, we literally couldnt sell 78's; we'd get them on donation (100's at a time) and we could only give them away. the market for these is incredibly small & they usually have to be in perfect shape to be worth enough to justify selling them, most are not in good shape

Is there any official word about whether the IA's material would be preserved if they're forced to make huge pay-outs, or will their servers be sold and their archives simply lost? Can anyone (like the Wikimedia Foundation) bail them out or preserve the archives?
