Hey #Sonos nerds - Anyone have a Sonos Sub or Sub Mini? I grabbed the Mini onsale, and I’m kind of torn on it. I thought I’d be much more blown away by it based on reviews. At the same time, it seems to perfectly round out the Arc Ultra’s sound. Curious if others have takes on it? - ThreadSky

I set my entire home on Sonos, and my opinion matches all Sonos discussions. I have had amazing quality for being wireless, sub can THUMP, and pairs amazingly with the bars. Just the software is a disaster.

@chopaganda I have the mini and it seems to work really well with my Beam. If a movie or show has Dolby Atmos it shakes the house to a level where the rest of my household hates it. For music it seems a bit more subtle but you can crank it up if you want. I am curious what the big Sub sounds […]

@mielcarz @chopaganda i have the beam + mini combo too! agree the mini isn't gonna knock your socks off but it's a noticeable improvement.

w/ the Arc Ultra I could see trying out the full sized, depending on room size

I pulled the trigger on the Sub 4 during the sale. Paired with the Arc. It’s definitely subtle. But when it matters it’s there. It makes the full profile of the Arc better (much better during big cinematic audio moments or when volume is 🆙). But it’s not your late-90s bass box type sub. I dig it.

@dijcrap.bsky.social The makes me feel better. When volume is up for tv/movies, it’s easily noticeable. But it’s far more subtle for music and at low/medium volumes.

It’s almost like the magic is how it rounds out the sound without drawing attention to itself. @mielcarz @clifff

Had the Sub paired with the Beam for a while, adding it absolutely improves the overall sound, but it's a subtle thing. Feel like the Sub handling low end allows the bar to focus on what it does best (mids and treble), which really does improve the overall sound.

We have (well, now Jackson has) the Arc + two Eras + Sub. The Arc in front of the TV/facing the couch - the Mini tucked into the corner at the closed end of the room so that the bass was channeIed perfectly - and the Eras bookending the couch. Thought it was a fantastic set-up. Smallish space, tho.
