Breaking the duopoly is the only way forward. Democracy ie rule of the people by the people for the people depends on it. Both major parties are beholden to powerful vested interests including media oligarchs.

As a senator you should understand the house of review. This century labor have had to negotiate every piece of legislation through the senate. Every piece. Now sometimes they negotiate with you and sometimes with the coalition.
